Ingredients
- ½ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 2 pinches salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar, for serving
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Whisk together milk, eggs, water, and vanilla extract.
- Add sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to combine.
- Add flour and whisk until smooth with no lumps.
- Heat 1–2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 375°F.
- Pour batter through a funnel or squeeze bottle into the hot oil in a circular, criss-cross motion.
- Fry until golden, about 2 minutes per side. Flip carefully.
- Drain on paper towels and dust generously with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
